Looking back 10 years from now, some might say that 04 was the unofficial start of the larger movement. In terms of utility, the big three Ylocal, Glocal, and Yellowpages.com were all launched or bought (yellowpages.com) in 04.

If I had to put a label on LS in 2005 it was the formal start to the convergence of utility, data, mediums, and the all important user adoption. ( though many of us started the race long before the gunshot went off )

I enjoy the discussion - regardless of the year.

now I’m going to test local search and do some last minute shopping. Oh how I yearn for the days of ubiquitous data dissemination. :)
