Hi webmasters, my computer was recently replaced by a new one with Windows7 64bits. I hated some things about it like the library and network icon on the desktop that I could not delete no matter what.
Tried everything and finally got it but when I performed "open file" or "save file" operations the icons where there. Then I messed things up :(
I searched the web and found several forums and read everything at once. There were several indicating that all I had to do was deleting some registry entries regarding the library and network folder. I did and nothing happened, tried others and suddenly I got it, the icons where gone including the network icon from the desktop and also from the panel. I was happy.
After two weeks I realized I can't copy folders from the network, I can copy files but not the folders. When I double click a file on the network, the app opens up but it does nothing, I can't open files directly from the apps. I did so many things and read so many webpages that I can't identify what are the things I really did.
Our corporative config disabled the backups so there is no point to restore using the Win utils. The techs have no idea what to do (they aren't too expert...) Any idea what to do? Thanks in advance.
