There`s also no upgrade from WinXP to Windows 7. You have to do a clean install.
As a general principle, every operating system should be able to upgrade from one version to the next without a full reinstall, ideally even allowing you to skip a version. But I've always thought that upgrading Windows led to a more cluttered and less stable system. any future bugs found in the platform will not be fixed unless customers pay for additional support.
Wait, so I can pay them to fix bugs in XP? I might take them up on that, except I can't really think of any. There are some missing features that I'd like to have, though.
