I recently suffered a Blue Screen of Death episode leaving leaving me terrified about losing important business info (despite a pretty good backup regime).
After finally working out what the blue screen said - I actually had to take a photo of the page as it flashed up to be able to read it - I found this article [webmasterworld.com...]
I followed it and bingo!, a recovered laptop. The lesson is BE PATIENT! My laptop went through the chkdsk cycle 5 times and took over 5 hours before it finally sorted everything out. But it did it.
