If the problem persists and you've got it narrowed down to that software, then I'd suggest you contact the vendor's support line. They may have a solution available.
I'd first simply try uninstalling the iPlayer software. Run your machine without it and see whether that is indeed the culprit. You should then download a new copy and re-install.
