Hi all,

Over the last 2 days my CPU usage statistics have shot up to a level that makes operating very difficult. Checking the proccesses i can see that Kservice.exe is utilising the bulk of the CPU, getting up to around 50-60%. However, it rises and falls from 1-2% up to this maximum, spending maybe 2 minutes at the highest then dropping for 20 seconds or so.

I know that Kservice is associated with Iplayer and 4od, and indeed removing them and deleting the Kservice backup removed the problem. But i was using these programs for 6 months with no problem, then this?

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what it may be? I confess computing is not by area of expertise so any help would be appreciated.
