Bang, no internet connection! Searching the net (with another machine!) there's lots of very unhappy ZoneAlarm users. Installing KB951748 on a machine with ZA stops the DNS service. ZA and MS are 'looking into the problem' but for now either uninstall KB951748 or in ZA lower the internet security setting from 'high' to 'medium' I wouldn't want to be on a help desk today !

I'm on XP Pro SP2, this morning the little yellow shield appeared, without thinking I installed the updates.
