---- Weird mouse cursor glitchs

jtara - 2:46 am on Nov 1, 2007 (gmt 0)

For the past several weeks, I've been experiencing weird glitches when left-clicking in the title bars of programs, along the border, etc. (Actually, right-clicking, as I have a left-handed mouse. But for you "righties", it's "left-clicking"...)

This happens inconsistently.

I will left-click in the title bar, wanting to then drag the window to a different location. But the program will maximize - as if I have double-clicked.

Similarly, I will click on a border, wanted to then drag to resize the window. The cursor properly changes to the appropriate "resize" icon as I mouse over the border, and stays as such as I click and drag, but the window refuses to resize.

I've had to resort at times to clicking on the start taskbar icon for the program and using the keyboard to move or resize windows.

Sometimes, trying again will work. Other times, it helps to first click somewhere inside the program window. And sometimes, I go a whole day without having this problem.

I'm using a Logitech MX610 left-handed wireless mouse with uberOptions added. The display card is an nVidia 6800, running two screens. (Might possibly make a difference). It doesn't matter if I'm trying to drag from one screen to another or within the same screen though.

Has anybody else experience this odd behavior? I've never seen this before, but it's been driving me nuts for a while now.
