Bottom line. Windows is a user friendly end-user operating system. It works and its simple.

Linux is a nightmare. Fine for a server where it's never touched, but as a desktop client? I don't think so.

No, Microsoft is not doomed. They are successful for a good reason. They give the ordinary public what they want.
