I have a system with a motherboard that only supports DDR2 RAM, and I'm looking to put more memory in it (current has 4gb, looking to go to 8gb). The problem is that the current sticks are DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500), and those sticks are pretty much non-existent now. Can I put in some DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) sticks and expect everything to work fine? Will the 1066 sticks just under-clock to 800, or how does that work?
