I'd have to believe that those who can't see a use for an iPad / tablet simply haven't tried one.

It's best to use the tool designed specifically for the task. I routinely switch from my Mac to my iPad to my iPhone throughout the day, depending on what's most convenient. Many days I can run my entire web business solely from my iPad.

I spent the Summer traveling with my family, and most of the time all I needed was my iPad, though I had my iPhone and Mac with me. We drove 5,000 miles with a 10 year old who never once asked "are we there yet?" because he was happily entertained with the iPad or iPhone. Can't imagine a netbook doing that.

I'm not a fanboy, but this line of products works for me. I think an Android tablet would be even more useful than an iPad, and I plan on trading my iPad for an Android tablet as soon as one is available.
