in order to run dual channel properly you can't just stick any ole chip in, they have to be paired and you have to keep them in pairs.
if you have processor useage always hanging around 45% no matter what you are doing you have a rouge process that is hung and eating up clock cycles, which causes the heat to rise and build.
pull up task manager, go to the processes tab, show processes from all users, then sort them all by the highest CPU. The one with the highest number that always keeps coming back up end it, see what happens.
you could also do something as simple as booting from a live ubuntu CD and reading your stats in that to corner it down to a system issue and NOT a hardware issue. Sucks that you've already spent money on this issue and nothing has been resolved.
