---- Which is more productive? Desktop, Laptop or Desktop and laptop?

I'm pretty firmly settled on desktop with two monitors plus a laptop.

I went from desktop alone to a laptop.

That quickly became laptop plus pocket pc because I didn't want to lug the laptop everywhere. It was heavy because I bought a system robust enough to do everything I wanted a desktop to do.

Then I hooked up the laptop to a second monitor, printer, trackball, keyboard and external hard drive. At this point I hardly ever took it anywhere because it was a pita to unhook and rehook all the cables.

Since I got a desktop system again I've been moving to progressively lighter and smaller laptops.

My current setup is a beefy desktop system with two large monitors (could definitely go for a third) and two hard drives (one for system, one for data). For when I'm on the go or in bed, I have an MSI Wind, which I love. It's small enough to fit in my purse, or even an oversized coat pocket and with usb keys, Jungledisk, and my wireless modem, I can get to all my files anywhere and if something happens to my laptop, I lose nothing, 'cause the data doesn't live there.
