LeoXIV, i've been trying to make quiet arse pc for years, almost there. But if i was to start again i would buy that giant heatsink case from Zalman. 0db noise! no fans and hard drive noise is restricted by the hardcore case surrounding it. It's like $1400 US or something, fairly expensive but worth it i reckon, especially if you sleep in the same room and it's on 24/7

In my server setup i have a The Phantom PSU (fanless = 0db) inside the coolmaster stacker case, 2 silentx 120mm fans both slowed to 500rpm, 1 92mm siletx for the cpu slowed to 1000rpm and a few 300GB seagate hard drives. And it's pretty dam quiet. You can hear it at night time, but that's the hard drives and there's not much i can do about that :(.
