I'm actually building my office right now in my new house. It's going to be pretty sweet. Here's some of the things that make it my dream office:

Server Closet: I've got some web / database servers for my company already hooked up in my office-to-be. I'm going to paint the inside of my little server closet black and put a glass door on it (so people can see all the little lights haha). I also have an LCD in there on a KVM for the servers. The closet has 2 switches. One switch for my server rack, and one switch for the house's Cat 5.

Workbench: I've got a huge solid core fire door for a workbench. I've got a nice Anti ESD mat for it so I don't have to worry about frying the computers I work on.

Desk: I've got a nice corner desk.

Floor: I'm tiling it instead of carpet. This will allow me to roll around as much as I want w/o wearing out the carpet.

Active Picture: I'm building an LCD monitor to look like a picture hanging on the wall. I'm making a nice wooden frame for it. I'm running wires inside the wall for it and will hook it up to an old computer. The LCD will be on all the time and will rotate a lot of different family pictures. Should look pretty darn neat!

Technology: I've got a spot to dock my laptop, iPod, iPaq, & cell phone. I’ve got my network laser printer, Bluetooth and 802.11G in the office, phone, fax, wireless keyboard and mouse, etc. etc.

My dream office is coming true… I hope all of yours do to!
