larryhatch - 10:54 pm on Apr 25, 2005 (gmt 0) I went to Fry's Electronics and replaced ever fan I could get at.
My computer was driving me nuts with fan noise.
Finally, the CPU fan started to fail or stopped entirely.
The big clue for THAT was an internal temp sensor on the CPU chip that shut
the machine down with a specific message to that effect (amazing!)
The power supply fan got changed when THAT module crapped out.
My 300 MHz Windows-95 machine is running like a champ,
and I don't have to turn the crank on the side or anything - Larry
