I think Tektronix printer tech is now being used by Xerox. Not at all sure about this, but I would take a look also at the Xerox Phaser 8400 and their solid ink technology.

I can't speak to the quality and TCO, but I think it's worth at least investigating that alternative to inkjet/laser.
