Just my 2 cents worth...

I have lost several sites from Google.co.uk as my new dedicated host has the servers based in Germany. We now appear in Google.de in good positions!

My response from Google was that the only solution was to get a UK host.

Please make sure that if your sites have a larger audience in any particular country that your server is hosted there and that it also has an IP address of the country too.
