Just make the avi file is enough..if you don't need menus etc ( all DVD players ..even the ones that live under TVs and the portable DVD players can play avi files )..no need to convert to VOB and IFO ..
re "burner" Nero is "bloatware" ( that will slow your machine and cost you money ..and the later versions talk to "home" and write data all over the registry /hive in windows ..hell to get rid of afterwards..and Nero will take over and make itself the default for many file types )..use "imgburn" ..

It is very light ..very fast ..small footprint ..can be run as a "portable app"..it is free ..and is far far better coded than Nero..and it won't try to take over your machine..
