Was too late ( due to eating dinner ) to add this via "edit" ..if you want to go the flash route anyway .
Photo galleries can be very good in flash ..

Take a look at some of the things on offer at "activeden" ( it is a dot net ) if you like images.

They have work from various freelance designers "deep linking" xml controlled flash galleries ..the deep linking means that they'll index in Google etc almost or as like regular HTML sites will ..the XML means that you can customise ( massively so they really are unique to you ) them ..easily without knowing any action script ( and dont be afraid of the XML part ) they come with sample XML files that the designers tell you what and how to change parameters ..

And you can get flash sites from them from twenty dollars ( even less sometimes ) and upwards for good ones.

I've no commercial connection with them ..I just like some of the work shown there very much .;-)
