I'm new here, and I've been searching this site (and other sites) and reading articles for over 2-days and still haven't found a solution to my dilemma. I KNOW it's something simple, but I just can't find it... and I'm usually pretty good at this stuff, since research is my primary career. However, I'm so frustrated right now that I've given up and decided to post a request here for help.
I'm revising a webpage for a friend. At the "index.html" page there's a Flash object that has a white background, which doesn't match the site page background. In Firefox, the "bgcolor=" code I used works just fine. In Internet Explorer, I get a plain white background.
I found the "If IE, use this code, if not, use this code" references (and code) on several sites, but I CANNOT get the background color to change to the site background color, as it does in Firefox. I'm totally frustrated.
Is there somebody out there who will please look at the "index.html" code I've got and help me fix the Internet Explorer part so the white background will switch to the color of the rest of the page? I'm at my wits end and I have a very low patience threshold.
Thanks for reading my post. I hope somebody will respond and have a solution for me. :)
