Lightbox started things off, I believe that was the first of its kind, so Google that for starters. Also, Google 'Lightbox Clones'. There are many about. For an example of one that uses js & flash, Google 'Magic Toolbox'. dc
Nope, not flash. Javascript. Using the mootools or scriptaculous libraries. Or jquery. Although some do use a combination of JS/Flash.
