Both my client and I are using the same DSL provider - same city different computers, and are seeing the same thing. I have another PC and two laptops using the same internet connection. Laptop, PC, different browsers - all download at about the same rate.
My host is saying that the videos load fine with their connection, so there is no problem. That is what I'm wondering about. All other things being equal, say they did throttle down our bandwidth. Wouldn't it be possible that the site still loads fine for them, with a significantly faster connection than ours?
I wish I had some kind of metrics to work with, but basically all I have is that it was initially well received by many users - a lot of positive blog postings - always looked good in development through cross-brower and cross platform testing. Now it's basically a dead stick. Web traffic is plummeting and bounce rate is climbing.
Will definitely do that.
