try cookie banning. The board detects the user's been banned (because it put a cookie saying so on his pc at the time of banning) and loads up a blank page for him only, leaving him thinking he's won

sure, this only works until he cleans out his cookies, but its usually not something they expect so that wouldn't immediately occur to them
