However, we certainly are not happy about the disruptions that we have faced and even caused this week and understand how they negatively impact our users.
No Twitter, I don't think you really understand how negatively it impacts your users. If you did, you wouldn't allow this to happen for 7+ days. Twitter was up and down for a whole week. It started at about the same time every day too. I was starting to think that Twitter were under an attack of some sort, I still think that was the case and not some scalability thing.
Note for Twitter: Maybe if you'd pay attention to the Report for Spam queue and all the crap bots running loose on the platform, you'd have some more bandwidth for those folks that it is negatively impacting. You're all about the numbers and I've seen spam accounts live on for over a year now. The Report for Spam function is a placebo link.
