All social media sites are fads. Something better will replace Facebook, like Facebook did to Myspace. It will always happen this way, because once a site is infiltrated by small companies and MLM's trying to use it as a form of cheap advertising, flood the site with garbage profiles, and eventually the users stop coming.

Whatever this new one is will eventually suffer the same fate too.
