Define "the amount of business traffic" ...
Is it visits, unique visitors, pageviews, hits, emails, length of visit, what?
It could well be the case, eg that Google was visited by more people while Facebook was visited more times per day, or for longer periods per visit. Which makes neither of the two more popular than the other.
To be popular, liking has to be part of it, not just traffic. Otherwise, highway queues would be highly popular.

This quote suggests that this survey is really about "hits" which is a close to useless metric. Especially as the graphics rich Facebook user interface generates far more hits per pageview than the Google interface.
