FB comes along and puts them all back to "please let google spider all your lovely content" settings and it's just deceitful. It's an enormous middle-fingered "yeah, well, we don't really agree with your privacy settings so we're going to ask you the question again until you give us the answer we want to hear". and, as previously stated, many people will just press OK when a window pops up. I guess half of FB has just wiped their privacy settings and FB is over the moon about it.
I think people are angry because 300 million people ALREADY had their privacy setting just as they wanted them.
