Recent events surrounding the hacking of Twitter has revealed that the management of Twitter is naive and even stupid, yes stupid. How else to explain that the access to one of their databases consisted of the first name of one of the founders and a password that is equally easy to guess? Twitter's step into the Get Rich with Twitter cesspool confirms either how naive Twitter management is, or its cynicism. They should have done this awhile ago before the scammers took control of the conversation. With any luck they can reclaim it, their chances are probably better than Squidoo.
CWebguy's statement has a basis in reality. Twitter is at the center of a Snake Oil Industry selling tools, ebooks, money making secrets and services purported to help individuals with no Internet experience earn piles of cash.
