A newsletter is without a doubt a productive strategy.

But my problem with this client is, in a word, "time".

He is very hands on with his business, probably alot more than most would be. Consquently it has been a struggle from the beginning to get from him the things only he can provide. I was finally able to get him to write some technical articles for the site but with a reocurring thing like a newsletter I honestly think it would fall by the wayside over time. One alternative to this that I came up with is an "audio blog" idea by which I call him on the phone and record our conversation, then edit it and post it up on the website. I could do an interview of sorts on various subjects or just a Q&A session. This would require little time and preperation on his part because is is very knowledgeable and can "shoot from the hip" very well. He provides technical support on the phone all the time so I think this might be one way to make it work.

I'm sure there are alot of other strategies out there and I will keep looking.
