Hi Guys...not sure if this is the right forum but need some advise..so here goes.
All the sites we build we make sure to have a "seo clean" home page which generally includes atleast one paragraph content and the needed <H> tags to go along. The site we are currently developing is a little different as the client wants the homepage image driven...so let me explain. The page is basically nicely designed with navigation to the left and some instant portals (navigation) to the right...this all is on a backdrop of a large image representing the product. At the top of the page is a option to click on to display the content that we would normally add to the homepage in an overlay....so if not clicked on the content is not visible.
Now im my experience search engines will not "credit" for this content as it is hidden from the viewer.
So here to take care of that aswell as those that have Jscript disabled we have added that same content within a fatfooter below.
My question is whether this will be considered as duplicate content or content stuffing as it is the exact same copy twice...but one is hidden and only visible in the cliked overlay?
hope someone can shed some light here as we do not usually have double content on the same page but this is an unusuall design layout for a home page and we still want to maximise seo where possible...thanks for the advice in advance
