According to the article, it's the young women and girls who are growing their social web enterprises because according to their experience (as quoted in the article), this generation of males don't have the patience for it.
According to the above study, 93% of teens are online, and two thirds of those online are creating content online. Of those, 55% of the content creators are girls. Boys content creation activities tended to cluster around uploading content to video sharing sites. (Pretty useless, imo).
