Maccas is probably right. My own opinion is that it doesn’t hurt and since it is relatively easy to make a sitemap, why not do it to have a more complete site. If your link structure is very deep, or your links are dynamic in nature, a Google sitemap will help the spider find it’s way around.

I se no reason why not to have both a sitemap for Google and another sitemap for my users.
