Possibly. I've checked the listings from 4 different locations via shell (LA, Houston, Richmond VA, and Philadelphia) and they all show MSN with Overture and LookSmart listings.

I'd agree that what you're seeing doesn't make sense as a test of any kind.

Unless they've decided to ONLY have listings that they'll get paid for, I don't think this was intentional.
