Absolutely agree with tedster and bill that connecting to the web through mobile devices cannot be ignored. Soon it will account for an important enough proportion of traffic apropos PC access that will will all have to take it seriously in designing sites that are optimised for small screens as you may find on phoneseven, as well the wider and bigger screens on web enables pda's and the newer phones in development wth bigger and higher resolution screens Now is the time to strat thinking about it i think. I forsee the time in maybe a decade or so where the MAJORITY of web connections will be from mobile devices compared to desktop/laptop/PC's. Dick tracey was not that far-fetched.

In the meantime learning how to design leaner/code leaner, will be rewarded im sure. -not asumming that people will be vewing your site on a standard 640/480 to 1200etc screen size.
