And that 1 billion includes 500 million in the US alone, by year's end. Also, the G3 technology is now rolling out. Several makers are using the embedded Opera browser - which gives a very nice user experience. Desktop Opera 7 has a small screen setting that lets us see our sites as they will appear on a mobile device.

It looks like mobile surfing (with high bandwidth!) will be having a big impact in our very near web future.
