What's the deal with related pages? I just found that my employers site is "related" to a pet project site I started and never finished over two years ago. The ONLY link between the two is my personal resume page that has link to both sites. (I know this for a fact, I have "intimate " knowledge of each of these pages.) These two "related" sites do not link to each other. Subject matter - totally different. I guess AV's related pages just matches sites with links to "sibling" sites from single pages. Kind of a third party saying these sites are similar? Pretty weak / highly irrelevant. Any idea if this weakens or supports positioning within AV? My thinking is that it may have a minor effect on term vector in the future, when they start to refine links to your site in context of the page doing the linking, in which case it may become imperative that you only have pages that are on topic pointing to your site. <darn, my head hurts> Comments?
