| AdWords Ad paused but Ad Group received a click

I've set up custom reports in Google Analytics for PPC campaigns. The reports are telling me that an ad received a click to the site a day ago. However, the campaign from that click has been paused for about six months. Any insight as to why that would have happened?

someone could have bookmarked the initial link, including the added tags...
some scraper could have grabbed that link when it was live, and crawling it now to see what's there...
some crappy search engine following an indexed link it nabbed when you were live...
someone could have added some tags to a link, just to mess with you (i've done this to people, utm_source=SteveIsStupid)...
and on and on...
