Hello,

If I become good at Google adwords will that almost make sure Ill be able to do PPC on overture or other engines, too?

Is this sort of like Google, Yahoo, MSN for SEO? as in..if you know how to rank on Google..Yahoo and MSN are slightly different but you can easily learn to do SEO on them too if you know how it works on Google..the same with Adwords & other PPC engines?

thx

hiya

i think you are getting confused a little with the terminology - Google AdWords is for Pay Per Click (PPC) - Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a method of improving a website to increase the rankings within the natural/organic listings.

I'm assuming you are refering to the PPC as you are talking about AdWords - in which case I'd say about 70-80% of what you learn from AdWords will be of use if you want to go on to set-up MSN and Yahoo too, but there are quite a few differences (like MSN randomly rejecting ads for no aparent reason! grr!) AdWords is the easier of the three to use though.

Hope that answers your question?

The other PPC programs have differences in the structure of the interface, how they approach keyword approvals and some of the terminology they use, which may be similar to adwords with some, so called innovations, built in.

However do avoid any third tier PPC services who may promise cheap traffic but may end up sending only bots and charge for it!

thx for the replies I know what SEO is and what PPC is. I was just using SEO as a comparison as the algos of yahoo and msn arent exactly the same as that of Google (link authority being less important). However if you know how to rank on Google, it'd be easy to learn how to get a ranking on yahoo and msn as the main stuff is all the same - even if its a bit different.
