|Is Pinterest essential for every web site you own?|
They say they rank your site if you verify it.

So if you open an account, verify your domain, and post a few things, does that automatically create a solid backlink?
Pinterest says they add you to search results if you verify.
I also notice you can only verify ONE web site per account. Sounds like I have a lot of work on my hands.
I assume it goes without saying you would also add Pinterest links/buttons on your web site as well.

Good question. I don't have an answer, does anyone else?

So far Pinterest links are NOFOLLOW and do not help your ranking.
I don't know if they remove the NOFOLLOW attribute on the links of boards that have been verified.

I also wonder if I am not wasting my time...
Without text Pininterest will never be in Google...

Well actually they are climbing up google and I have seen some pinner account with subdivisions in the SERPs... in fact, today, for the first time.
However don't expect the same rate of visitors coming directly from google compared to those via Pinterest.
In the case of my highly visual websites, I get no traffic from Pinterest so I must concentrate on ranking directly rather than through Pinterest as an intermediary.
