Pinterest SEO/redirect question
question about how to handle board name URL changes

I've recently been doing some optimization on Pinterest where I'm changing the names of boards to be more SEO friendly. The board URL changes whenever you do this. It would be nice if Pinterest put a 301 redirect from the old board to the new board, but they don't.

Pinterest boards are starting to appear in the top 10-20 Google results for many keywords, so this could create issues for SEOs if they inadvertently change their board names.

Has anyone else been affected by this? I tried to contact Pinterest's support team about this issue, but they don't seem too interested in creating a solution to deal with this issue.

I doubt they'll deal with it unless they find a way to monetize it OR a large percentage of the community complains - unlikely.

And when they start monetizing the stolen photos, the door will bij widely open for lawsuits.
