Hi All!

I m not a programmer (I wish I were) but I have some idea to develop a php script to protect images with flash container...

Please check this and discuss if its possible?

Scope of this Script

The idea behind this script is to:

Save BandWidth by avoiding hot linking
Hiding Real URL of images
Blocking Direct Access to Images (in browser's address bar)
*Image steal protection, with use of flash container to display image.
usual image protecting scripts do not works with flashvars cos of their dependence on referrer..., that browsers either hide or fake...

// some php code

$key = "SomeSecretKey"

// some php code

<img src="showimg.php?filename=myimage.gif">

// some php code for security or sessions
// but NO REFER CHECK PLEASE (Refer check does not work with FLASH in FireFox Browsers)

$path = "/home/public_html/images"

// get the name of the webpage requesting image (i.e., index.php in this case)
// check existence of pre-defined "SomeSecretKey" stored in var $key in the requesting webpage

// if true
// read image by its type (not by extension) from server local path
// send the image to browser for display

// if false, show some decent error and die"
