| Php error on Snow Leopard

Looking for a solution to a php error on a Macintosh. Snow Leopard error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function imagettftext() Everythig works great except my images don't work. This is the error I get.
Any suggestions?

From my phpinfo.php: php 5.3.0, '--with-gd' ,'--enable-gd-native-ttf' , (Lots of others also, but these are the ones with "gd") and gd
