Hi All,

Im new to PHPnuke, moving my current htm site to php, a few hundred pages and looking for a few ideas.

1) My site has lots of technical documents that describe there meaning, ie, a page that tells you all about what HDTV is etc etc, now from looking at php-nuke the "Encyclopedia" looks ideal for such a job, there is a "but" i notice that you can search the Encyclopedia from inside the Encyclopedia option only, there is also a seperate search option on phpnuke which wont look at the Encyclopedia just the site, now i would guess if a user comes to my site and things i want to know about HDTV oh there is search let me search he wont find anything is there away around this or a better option?

2) What is the purpose of "Topics"? you create a topic i.e HDTV Info, then when you go into that all you seem to be able to do its add url's im missing something arnt i? Other than i noticed if i write a news article i can select a relevant topic for it, its that its only use?

3) Modules now, the bar on the left, there is various good options there and a few i wont use which is fine, but say i am a company and i want on that menu bar a option that say "Products" and one for "Services" etc and when clicked they just take you toa page that tells you about our products or services, i have read the manual and am a little confused about how to do one to point to a single page.

4) Content now, again unless i am missing something this does not show when you do a "search", i guess this would be where i would put general pages such as products and services etc etc?

I know its a bit long but its a few things i cant find exact answers on at the moment.

Thanks

I missed the obvious on the search option so that might be sorted now.
