Avoiding the junkmail folder

Hello I am wondering if there is a list of things to do (like contacting Hotmail, Gmail, and so forth in order to avoid the junkmail folder) for scripts that send out bulk OPT-IN mail. I know avoiding links, and flagged keywords in the email, as well as proper header construction helps. I just use swift mailer to format my headers.

Anyhow does anyone know if there is any more methods both within PHP and any other way to help avoid the junkmail folder or even being delivered at all.
