Hello,

I am making an html page with a form and I am using bmbform.cgi as the script.

I have made all appropriate changes to the script and I am getting the message:

MAIL NOT SENT. SMTP ERROR:

The name of the SMTP Server is:
smtp.elvitrading.net

path to sendmail:
/usr/sbin/sendmail

path to Perl:
/usr/bin/perl

test form is:

[lifestyleholidayvip.com...]

I don't think it shouuld make a difference if the script is located
on a difffeent server than the form.

Please help.

Thank you

That error message tells you that the script itself is working, it just cannot send mail, so the path to perl is correct.
Without knowing the script, my best guess is that, like most SMTP-servers, your server requires authentication. Look for a configuration option to set a username and password for the smtp-server. Emails are not sent via local sendmail (or whatever emulates sendmail on your system), but rather a normal smtp-session, I guess.

do you have SMTP_SERVER set to the correct hostname?
