Help with NMS FormMail.pl

I created a form at example.org/form.html and am using a script to e-mail the data.

The problem is, once the user fills out the info and is confirmed, nothing happens. The confirmation page says it sent the email to the address, but the e-mail never arrives. I've tried three different addresses and still nothing.

Can anyone help me?

welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com], 318north!

- check your path to sendmail
- check the formmail FAQ and/or readme files on matt's script archive
- site:webmasterworld.com formmail.pl [google.com]

Thanks for your reply, phranque, but you're gonna have to dumb it down for me.

I found this in the code: L<CGI::NMS::Mailer::Sendmail>, L<CGI::NMS::Mailer::SMTP>,

L<CGI::NMS::Script>

am I susposed to change something?

we're happy to answer perl questions here but if you need support for a specific tool, you should go to the author of your script for that.
have you started with the readme file provided with that script?
i've never tried using matt's formmail.pl script but there is plenty of support in the WebmasterWorld site search link i provided above.
for example this might be helpful:
[webmasterworld.com...]
there's loads of additional support for that specific script elsewhere online.

Hes using NMS FormMail, not Matts script. NMS (as I am sure most of you know) is a replacement script for Matts FormMail. It does come with good documentation and instructions and there is an NMS forum somewhere (maybe the NMS website links to it) but last I checked it (long ago) it was pretty much abandoned and was mostly getting spam posted on it.

NMS does come with good documentation, with examples.

318North, go carefully through the readme and examples files, and do the script configuration carefully. Make sure your path to sendmail is correct. Your cPanel might have a line in it telling you the correct path to use.

If all else fails, you could post your config lines here. Remember to remove all references to your site, your email addresses, and anything else that would identify the site you are talking about.

I found this in the code: L<CGI::NMS::Mailer::Sendmail>, L<CGI::NMS::Mailer::SMTP>,

You are only supposed to configure about 20 lines near the top of the file. They are clearly marked as:
# USER CONFIGURATION SECTION
Don't modify anything else.

once the user fills out the info and is confirmed, nothing happens.

Since no one else has thrown it in the ring, first place to look: check your error logs.
