I swear, whenever a client calls me and ask me to make a droid app, I just sigh.

I don't understand why Google lets the droid market fragment so much from phone to phone.

The simple act of book marking a web page to your home screen is different on almost every phone not mention many of the droid phones out there can not update to the latest flavor of Android.

As a developer, I can't stand programming for droids.

Apple on the other hand is great. If it works on one, it's going to work on all of them.

Just saying...

I'm having a the same issue. Developing for the iPhone is easy as they are all the same, even different versions of IOS almost always work the same way. But Android devices can be tweaked by each manufacturer and could behave in an unanticipated manner depending upon many factors.

I don't see this changing anytime soon. We have begun to add text to our contracts explaining that Android phones do not all work the same way to prepare our customers for these issues.
