I just wrote a very long and important email using Gmail and I wanted to get some information about my Opera. So I click on Help >> About Opera and bah ! I get the about Opera page in the same window. I click "Back", to get the home page of Gmail and sadly my email has not been saved ! lol:) Thanks Opera !

the auto refresh is gmails fault - not operas. also - go to prefs and uncheck "reuse current tab".

Well, I've tried just about every possible combination on the History preferences page and images still get stuck in the cache - even if I right click and choose "Reload Image". The only fix for me is to chose "Open Image" and then "Reload" with image's url in the location bar. PITA and I really want a fix, because I much prefer to develop in Opera first. I hope I either stumble on something, or Opera issues an update soon.

Favorite browser here for many years (was the only current version browser I could run on my old 95/98 machine). This is the first upgrade I have not liked - perhaps I don't like change. No experience with the problems others are reporting, but my installation/configuration might be less complex. Went back to 9.27 and will stay ther until most agree 9.5x is good to go. Thanks for keeping a topic area for Opera.

@Brett, you are right... It's Gmail fault :) And thanks for the "reuse current tab" @Tedster >> Did you try Alt+F5 to force page reload without cache ?

Yep, no joy with alt+F5 either. Also, I've noticed that CSS images (such as a background-image used for hover states) are not called from the server until they are needed for rendering. But that introduces a delay on the first use. That used to be an IE problem, but it's been fixed. I got out of the habit from building image preloads into the page, but I might need to start doing it again. Ticks me off - waste of bandwidth to add that to every page.

I'm doing my best to love Opera 9.5 and am just about there. One feature I can't seem to locate is the Tab/Arrange item in the Tab context menu (nor can I apply Cascade, Tile). I'm using a Mac...perhaps that's the deal. Otherwise, love it. .
