Opera's biggest launch in about a year brings us v9.5 alpha, code named "Kestral".

I see in the changelog that the new Opera version is using a completely rewritten EMCAscript engine for javascript. That sounds quite promising!

Opera 9.5 works with jQuery/Interface and supports :focus. I'd prefer CSS3 properties over selectors, we'll see with Opera 10.

the new sync feature to sync your bookmarks across multiple machines is awesome. I have three work computers, two laptops, a home machine, and a smart phone that all run Opera. Keeping bookmarks in sync has been a struggle.

So Opera will have the bookmarks of thousands - possibly millions - of users. hmmmm...digg who?
